Introducing Minalyzer Lite
Minalyzer Lite is a command line wrapper on top of Java Lucene, which is the best Open Source Search API available as of today. Because not every Web Server has Java server running, Chambal.com Inc have created this wrapper.
They also tried to hide all the API level details from the end user (webmaster or web programmer). i.e. they don't need to learn Java or Lucene. Minalyzer Lite can index the source data from web server by crawling it, or by directly indexing the HTML files from the file system or directly from the database for database driven web sites. The indexing code is a command line exec. The search utility is also a command line exec, which returns XML which can be parsed and displyed on any web site using any server side script which supports calling external programs (backtick in case of perl).
