Team vs Solo Project
Newcomers in games development have first major dilemma about whether to work with someone else or to try to do everything alone.

Solo project is suitable for smaller projects, for simple game play games and for not so demanding graphic games. It is all about what you want to achieve. Perfect solo project games in ActionScript are logic / puzzle games. They usually include small number of graphic symbols with repetitive usage and few interesting sound effects. Game play and controls are easy to implement in all ActionScript versions. This is also great test for future development and self assessment.

Teams are great for gaining experience, one of most important skill in game development. Splitting all work needed among designers (sounds and graphics), programmers and marketing dudes is dream come true for right people and road to success, but this is often very hard to do.

Good starting point in looking to join some team or to create one with right people are game dev forums like:

Introducing Page Rank 7

 

Recently with my Free PR5 links giveaway (http://flanture.blog.com/1982660) I started something good. My intention was to give something back to my precious readers and first thing that came to my mind was back links share.
 
However, completely randomly I visited Iwebtool and while playing around, I wanted to find out how I am helping to those links on my sidebar. I wanted to check how my blog helps WebAction, so I entered web address of that blog. It struck me when I realized that some of my pages have PR6 and this one page http://flanture.blog.com/1613467 from March 2007 has even PR7!
 
I suppose this shows that I got something valuable here. If anyone in interested in renting some text link space on my sidebar do email me at flanture [at] gmail [dot] com and we can discuss it. Thanks for your support.

collaboration and partnership

     I have posted on several forums that I'm looking for partner to help with my comics flash album. For better presentation I want someone who has nice artistic skills and who wants to present his/hers work. Any comics author who provide several interesting comic pages will get free promotion. I'm not offering any money. This is about collaboration and partnership.
