The sphere is perfectly constructed with 160 thumbnails. Dynamic 3D navigation is available, dragging mouse to freely rotate the sphere and explore the items. Gallery is 100% XML driven. 3D XML Flash Carousel

This infinite 3D image and media carousel will make your life a lot easier and you’ll wonder why the hell you haven’t heard about it before? Answer is simple : it has just been created!

 

Main media type files can be used like images, videos or even SWFs in full or thumbnails view. Because XML is used, carousel can contain infinite number of items. You don’t have to worry about it, just your video or image and carousel makes it work. Since FLVPlayback component is used you can customize skins and player colors for any individual video. Text style is provided from external css file, which is much easier for customization.

Carousel comes in 3 versions: full source, compiled component and standalone page. Component parameters can be set via component panel but also (which is really great) via external XML file. Some of the parameters are 3D distortion, carousel offset and radius, thumb size, photos border parameters, reflection and shadow options.

Another great thing about 3D XML Carousel is that 3D engine behind carousel is original, so you don’t need any extra code package to learn or install.

Cool and Useful Flash 3D Effects

I’ve been searching for some cool and useful 3D Flash effects to include in my projects. I wanted to save some time and I didn’t want to hire someone for this one since FD has great already made collection of over 60 3D Flash effects files. Haven’t decided yet my mind but I wanted to present my top 3 choice.

 

Water and Mirror effects really awesome. Created by Icaro file opens with Flash8+ and it’s amazing 1.5kb published size. You can use png, gif or swf and turn on/off mirror and natural water effects. You can set water speed, direction and color. Amazing.

 

Random flying birds 3D Flash effect is another great file by digitalscience. It is written in ActionScript2.0 and published size is 11kb. Can be used in Flash games, drag and drop movie clip onto Stage and you are done.

 

3D spinning text effect is great for advertising. You have dynamic text, you can change rotating diameter, direction of spinning, viewing angle can be set to up or down, you can change distance between letters and letters width. This great effect is created by Nemo.
